Delete Your Highlyt Account
Request permanent deletion of your Highlyt user account and associated personal data.
Account Deletion Request Pathway
You can permanently delete your Highlyt user account and associated personal data without needing to reinstall the mobile application.
Highlyt is operated by Aylin Albay (studioeightdev@gmail.com), United Kingdom.
Clicking above will open your default email client addressed to studioeightdev@gmail.com with a prefilled request.
Deleting your Highlyt account does NOT automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
If you have an active paid subscription, please cancel it separately through your store account settings (Apple ID or Google Account). Deleting your account is not conditional upon prior subscription cancellation, but store billing will continue until canceled with Apple or Google.
Verification and Security Instructions
- Email Match: Please send your deletion request from the email address registered with your Highlyt account so we can verify account ownership.
- No Passwords or Sensitive Details: Never send passwords, access tokens, API keys, or financial details in your email request. We will never ask for them.
- Account Ownership Verification: If you signed up using Sign in with Apple with a private relay address, we may reply to confirm account details.
What Account Deletion Permanently Removes
Upon verification and execution of an account deletion request, the following user-bound data is permanently deleted from our servers:
- Your Highlyt Account Record: Your user identity and authentication account in Supabase Auth.
- Saved Video History: All saved YouTube video links and history entries linked to your account (
user_videos). - AI Conversations & Messages: All your interactive AI chat conversations and Q&A messages (
ai_conversationsandai_messages). - Subscription Entitlements: Your local user entitlement records (
user_entitlementsandfree_video_entitlements). - AI Rate Limit Logs: Your user-specific rate limit event logs (
ai_rate_limit_events). - RevenueCat Profile Deletion: A deletion request is submitted to RevenueCat to purge your user subscriber profile.
What Records May Remain & Anonymization
- Anonymized System Records: RevenueCat webhook event records are anonymized by clearing the user identifier (setting
user_idto NULL) to preserve system event deduplication without identifying deleted users. - Shared Service Caches: Highlyt maintains shared service caches for video-related material such as video metadata, transcript text obtained from transcript providers, timed transcript cues, generated analyses, chapters, highlights, semantic segmentation maps (
video_semantic_maps), and RAG index data. These shared cache records are not stored as data belonging to an individual Highlyt account and therefore are not automatically removed merely because one user deletes their account. They remain subject to applicable provider, API, legal, and retention requirements. - YouTube Content Notice: Deleting a Highlyt account or Highlyt-stored data does not delete videos, channels, or content stored on YouTube itself. Content on YouTube must be managed directly through YouTube or Google account tools.
Deletion Timing
For stored user-related data subject to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies, we act on deletion requests as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days of the deletion request. We may take reasonable steps to verify account ownership without undue delay.
